grateful because you always open doors for us to conduct sensitization talks and blood collections. The overwhelming patronage during blood donation day is due to your dedication in mobilizing the community.

On his part, Group Village Headman Thawitsa said the area has potential to produce more blood donors and surpass the target even more. He however pointed out that there are still some misconceptions that hinder people from donating blood. To this he requested MBTS to intesify communication about blood donation by among other things utilizing market days and producing simple tailor – made pamphlets that people can read about blood donation. “We have so many potential blood donors in this area and we are optimistic we will continue exceeding our target. However, some people still have fears about blood donation due to lack of adequate information”.
