Post-Donation Tips
Now that you have donated blood. Here is what you need to do:
Drink 6 extra glasses (about 1.8L) of non – alcoholic liquid in the next few hours. This helps to replenish fluids.
Keep the dressing dry and in place for 4 hours after blood donation.
Do NOT do heavy exercises or lift any heavy objects for 24 hours after donating.
You can make another donation after 3 months if you are male, 4 months if you are female and 6 months if you have AB blood group.
